Why is it that I can wake up at 7 a.m. on a Sunday, just shy of 7 hours of sleep, but when I wake up on a Monday after 9 hours I feel like a zombie? Proof that sometimes I let my mind control how I really feel?
Anyway…here we are again. Monday already!
This weekend was nice—a perfect blend of calm and productivity.
Without softball on Friday, we had some time to lay low. Sean and I grabbed a quick dinner at one of our favorite neighborhood cafes (compliments of a Groupon from his mom!) and spent some time with friends.

Saturday we took care of some small projects around the house and spent the better part of the afternoon helping to sort through some things at Sean’s mom’s house in preparation for her move next month. It was kind of fun to see all sorts of things from Sean’s childhood, like his favorite stuffed dog, Pete.

When we got home, we were wiped out. Even I took a nap—and I rarely take naps (most people think I’m crazy, but I’m not a big fan of them—I always wake up with a headache)! We decide to have an impromptu, casual date night, so we grabbed a quick dinner and saw the movie Ted. I’ve heard mixed reviews, but we both got a good laugh out of it.

We spent most of Sunday running errands and taking care of some small projects around the house. We ended the weekend with a quiet night at home—homemade dinner, TV, and an early bedtime.
My kind of weekend!
